Text of article below: Big Day Song- Turning Love Stories into Original Custom Songs.

From the Heart

Every couple has “their song,” some special tune that might have been playing on their first date, or that they both came to love over the years. But how many have a gorgeous song written just for them, with lyrics that tell the story of their romance? The clients of Big Day Song can claim just such a prize.

Started by singer-songwriter Brian David Muller in 2008, Big Day already has produced nearly 40 custom-written songs for couples, based on extensive questionnaires that Muller uses to write the lyrics.

“Usually, when I’m reading their responses, there’ll be some little bit of information that gives me goosebumps, or makes me almost cry,” he says. “That’s when I know what the song will be about, because that’s what makes their relationship special.”

For some couples, that moment might be their first trip together, or the way someone proposed. Muller also asks what type of music they like, so that the song can match their tastes more closely. He jokes that he can even replicate country and western, if that’s the request. “It might not sound authentic from this Minnesota guy, but I do my best,” he says, with a laugh. He then composes and records the song with acoustic guitar and the couple’s favorite instrument—anything except a kazoo, he notes.

Muller has been writing music since he was a teenager, after he was told his mother had cancer, and most likely wouldn’t be alive to see him graduate from high school. That first song, called “That Day,” was so personal that he realized the value of writing from the heart, and later started a group, The Brian David Band, that plays regularly at Twin Cities clubs.

Working with couples has been a wonderful addition to his other music writing, he notes, because it gives him a glimpse into other people’s lives and allows him to create music that will be treasured long past the wedding. “I try to tell their story in a way that’s so memorable, they’ll listen to it for years to come,” he says.

About Big Day Song

Big Day Song is transforming the way couples are expressing their love story in a truly unique and memorable way. A personalized song for their wedding. Love songs have been sung since the beginning of time and Big Day Song is giving the chance for couples to own their very own, unique custom love song... written about their actual story. The singer and songwriter, Brian David Muller, has been writing songs for the last 20 years and his passion is learning about how couples have met, fallen in love and turning those amazing stories into custom original song. He adds vocals and musical instruments to make the song truly come to life.

Brian started Big Day Song with the idea of using his passion for songwriting to make a couples "Big Day" memorable and allow them to have a unique and lasting gift and a customized original song they can truly call theirs.

Brian got the idea for Big Day Song when he was writing a song called "Supposed To Do" for his last album. What am I supposed to do is the burning question? He has always had this burning desire to do something more in life. What ignites him from the core is music. What keeps the flame going is you, the friend, the fan, the client. If he can make someone think. If he can make someone feel, his job is done. That is what he strives to do with every song he writes. You can hear the song that inspired Big Day Song at :www.briandavidband.com

Brian wrote his first song called “That Day” about the day his father came back from the doctors office to tell him that his mother may not live to see him graduate from High School. He fell in love with songwriting at that very moment and hasn’t stopped writing since. In addition to writing songs, Brian performs in a band called the Brian David Band in the Twin Cities and is working on his 3rd album called “There From Here” due out in the fall of 2009. There are different packages that fit into budgets of all sizes and not only do you get your own song, but you get the CD with your favorite photo and your orignal custom song lyrics displayed in a frame.
